1. Orly's rubberized base coat (LOVE IT)
2. Orly's Rage
3. Orly's Tiara

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE how this looks like metal!

In the picture it looks like it sparkles different colors but its just silver over a  really pretty iridescent gold.
My sister was wearing this yesterday (one coat of each) I fell in love with it and tried it today but I did it with two coats of each and OMG I have not loved a combo this much in a LONG time!!!!!  I cant stop looking at my nails and I feel a bit silly but i just cant get over it lol!

On to tonight, were just going to my sisters annual party, nothing too WOW lol I hope you all have a wonderful night and stay safe!!!

NOTD *trial run for new years eve*

The blue is called Dorothy who? by china glaze and the silver has no name but it's from Hot topic.
The blue on its own would need about 3-4 coats and is darker than below. the silver needs 2 coats but takes about an hour to dry! and about 5 minutes with the fast drying top coat. If your patient it's well worth it though!

What I did was use a base coat and two coats of the silver and then two of the blue. In person its more of a turquoise blue and shimmers like crazy!!!!

Hope you like!!!!

Christmas gifts:)

FINALLY got some rain boots!!!!  After seven days of non stop rain in Southern California I got them. Yes the rain has stopped but we still have a few months to go and I'd rather be prepared:) They're Polo and I bought them at Burlington coat factory so I got a good deal! I used the Visa gift card my sister gave me.

Because I have thick calves I had to buy a size seven (I'm a size six) but it's okay because I can just wear some thick socks:)
I went about a week too late and this was the last pair they had that wasn't black or red. I would have liked some all black ones but they didn't have my size they only had sizes 9 and up!!!

My friend got me this perfume set from Victoria's secret. I had gone to the mall with his GF and I had told her I wanted this so bad and if she could use her discount for me, she never followed up but now I know why:)

The hubby got me this to open on Christmas eve but he had also gotten me the lap top I'm using (Toshiba) and A LOT of other things through out the month of December:)

My friend  got me these two candles because she knows I love anything vanilla and any candles:)

I bought myself this as my Christmas gift a few weeks back. I'm still getting use to the pain:{

My sister got me this, it's a "love angel" its small and perfect for my book self!

My friend who got me the candles also gave me this, I wont use it but she got it for me cause it was girly and had pink snowflakes LOL! She knows me well!

The pictures from our family dinner should be up once my  brother in law sends them:) I had A wonderful Christmas filled with LOTS of good food:)

How was everybody's Christmas??

NOTD and life

I attempted a "santa" nail...
I'm not too happy with it but it could have been a lot worse. I still don't
know what I should do for the Christmas eve dinner though. ideas? :)

LIFE:
So, I'm not gonna lie, since Friday I"ve had A really rough time with life. I feel like I am getting pulled in 3 different directions and even though I try my hardest I somehow fail with each direction. Without getting too into the situation, I work 14 hours a day give or take a couple hours (it's a family business) sometimes if its slow I don't have "work" to do so I get to sit and surf the net but just being in the same place every single day is worse because it messes with you mentally. I would take being physically tired over mentally ANY day. Other days I do the work of 3 employees which is too much work for someone my height/weight should be doing and even then according to one of the "3 directions" says I don't do anything, them saying this is kind of insulting because it just makes me feel like I'm failing even further. There are days like today where customers have to see me on the brink of tears because I am just too heart broken/sad/tired/frustrated/stressed/worried etc..  Other days I can listen to music clean the business and stay somewhat positive. Today I can't, probably cause it's raining so that adds the the sad mood (lol) but this leads me to ask:

What do all of you do when you feel you have hit rock bottom?

I'm sorry I rambled to much I just really needed to vent, BADLY!

Candy Cane NOTD & Early resolutions

I know it may not be perfect but i really like how it turned out:)
New Years resolution:
I got started early this year because......(short story) In high school I use to change my hair a lot!! my mom hated it but I always told her hair grows, if it gets messed up oh well, it's JUST hair. I guess I kind of forgot that these past few months because I haven't done anything to my hair at all for 6months and I've been letting it grow, it was almost down to mid back. I wanted a trim but was too hesitant to go to my usual salon because it changed ownership...so...I told the hubby to trim it for me. can you guess where this is going? ....I told him an inch off, somehow he understood 6 inches....WELL..before he cut I yelled "NO!" he did it anyways. I now have shoulder length hair. Personally on me I hate short hair but after freaking out i remembered what I would tell my mom and well its true, hair grows. New year new look. Also he got rid of a lot of split ends SO my New years resolution is to remember not to stress the small things that are temporary, it's not worth getting all worked up over something that will be be back to normal in a matter of weeks.

So tell me what your new years resolution for 2011 will be:)

Review and NOTD

I bought this on a whim. It has a wet setting and a dry setting, it heats up within 30 seconds of turning it on. I tried it with wet hair and it took about 4/5 passes to get it dry and straight so I was already planning on returning it. I kept at it though because the next day I was gonna be out all day, it took a while but I got it. Now, with my usual flat iron when I use it at night in the morning my hair will get wavy from sleeping on it, it did NOT happen with this one! Also it left my hair very very shinny. So the next day I was up at 4am to go to a launch of a WoW game for the hubby, we came home at 2am the next day and my hair was still great. now the best part.....the whole day was spent outside in humid weather because it had rained. my hair did not get frizzy or wavy!!!!!!!! That alone had me sold! I have found it works best on towel dried hair.
Pros:
leaves hair shinny and straight all day/night long!
Heats up incredibly fast!
Very light
You can use it on wet hair or dry hair
Keeps static away!:)

Cons:
must use on almost dry hair
Not so long cord

VERDICT:
I love it! It's easier than blow drying my hair and then flat ironing it. The fact that your hair needs to be almost dry doesn't bother me because when I get out of the shower I put my hair in a towel for 5 min while I get dressed then take it out of the towel while I get ready for bed (another 10 min) and by then its perfect for the wet to straight flat iron:)
I really do recommend it:)

This is  my nail of the day:)

This is the (real) tree we put up at my parents house last night:) I had so much fun! my sister and me are short (5feet 2 inches) so it was hard until my brother and brother in law helped, my dad like always just sat and watched and made jokes and like ALWAYS when he finally did help he broke an ornament lol it was so much fun! and i finally got to open my collection of Disney ornaments iv'e collected in the past few years:)
The only gifts that are there are mine the hubbys my mom and my sisters, this is because I have no idea what to get my brother my dad or my brother in law:/ Ideas are more than welcomed:)

Fortune cookie soap review and pictures:)

These are the soaps I bought the names are in left to right order by row:
Sublime (smells like margaritas with lots of lime)
Kryptonite (smells like green apple and glows in the dark!)
Cherry Limade (just like cherry limeade)
Candy cane (like a very sweet candy cane)
Boogeyman (candy corn and mango)
Cranberry Chutney (sweet cranberries)
Egg noggin (like egg nog but more on the cinnamon side to me)
Country Christmas (sweet apple spice)
Violet Rasberry (flowery berries to me)

This one is Rasberry creme I forgot to include it in the above picture, oh and btw on the website this one looks more purple mine came more cream

Here is a close up of the candy cane soap, you can see that the red has sparkles in it, and you can see the fortune sticking out of the soap!!!!:)

Okay I FINALLY get to do this review!!! I waited so long to be able to order these! I got them during their black Friday sale for a dollar something, regular price is still very VERY affordable it's $2.75 each plus tax not bad right??? They are a good size and get about 13-14 uses:)  I bought 2 of most of the ones I ordered so I can give them as gifts, I showed my friends bf one of them and he now wants some too so I'll give him some of mine for Christmas.
REVIEW TIME!
Let me start by saying they should make a soap that smells like the box when you first open it!!!! it was like AMAZING!!! I opened it and all the smells hit me at once! I just didn't know where to start! once I calmed down I opened each one and not kidding probably spent like an hour just smelling them! The one I have used is the "Country Christmas" It smells like warm fruit punch to me with cinnamon it lathers quite nice and leaves you literally squeaky clean. The first time I used it and felt the squeakyness I thought oh no it's gonna dry out my skin:{ but once I  dried off my skin felt so soft, softer then when I use my regular Lush shower gel! The shipping was pretty fast considering it was a black Friday order I received it Dec. 6th.  I didn't buy a storage tin for it even though I should have but it has not gotten slimy like most soaps do, I still recommend getting the tin tho!  Now, heres a small trick I am going to do with the next order I place after Christmas (with my Christmas money) I am going to order a few of whatever scent I end up loving the most and putting them in drawers in my room. I have had the box at work all week and every time I walk by it smells great so its less expensive than buying the plug ins and wall flowers and all that stuff:)

LINK:
Fortune cookie soap

They also sell bar soaps, bath melts, clay masks, shampoo bars bath bombs and lots more!:)
OH they also sent a sample of a bath bomb that I cant wait to try tonight!:) plus if you chose they can send your soaps in little containers like Chinese food for just a few cents more!

Cute candy lip gloss and NOTD (mini review)

China Glaze's flying dragon (neon)
The color itself is gorgeous the blue and pink glitter add such a pretty sparkle
in the sun. I used 3 coats, sadly it it chipped so bad:{ Today is the third day I've had it on and it's mostly all off, I think it's because its a neon because all their other colors don't chip

Ok i really debated buying this because it looks like its for little girls and I'm sure it is lol but I couldn't help it.
Also they have pretty amounts of sparkle in them, like shimmer not chunky like glitter.

Here are the swatches, as you can see the only one that kinda has tint is the pink one which is the strawberry, the rest are all just clear gloss.
As for the smell/flavor the ONLY one that smells like what it's suppose to is the grape, I hate grape flavored stuff so much! So that kinda sucked:{ the rest didn't smell bad, they smelled good and fruity, just not like what they're suppose to. For the $3 I payed it wasn't bad. they do make good on the go back up glosses.
I'm not sure if im going to keep them, gift them, or save them for a give away later on

Some Las Vegas pics and NOTD

This is todays NOTD (12-2-10)
I was feeling festive:)
This is one of the first displays I saw on our way to check in.
We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel
(MY FAVE)

This looked so awesome in person!
This is my GIANT mai tai! it was very tasty!
That night we went to see "Viva Elvis" we got lucky and bought tickets from a guy
who changed his mind about going so we got  6th row center seats fro over 50% cheaper!

This is the morning after. This is the view from our suite I was lucky enough to wake up to:)
the view is of their 3 pools and lounge area to the left (not in the picture) is the view of the famous Las Vegas Strip:)

Like I had said in my previous post I went on a mini vacation to Las Vegas! Even though it was a quick trip, it felt like we got a lot done:)  The Viva Elvis show was so great! I got a few things, like the mai tai cup (lol) two Harley Davidson t-shirts and I caught an Elvis scarf at the end of the show. Like I said we stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel, we stayed in an amazing suite that was so cool!!! I'm a huge fan of all things rock & roll and metal so this hotel was perfect for me.
The room was very rock-star, from the furniture to the shampoo packaging lol
The shops at had so many very nice yet expensive things, I was hoping to win big so I could shop but sadly we lost:{
If you gamble at the tables drinks are free (it is nice to tip though)  so technically we payed a dollar per drink, not bad!
I have more (BETTER) pics that ill put up in another post:)
Let me know your thoughts!!! I'd love to hear them all!
